While the atmosphere is inviting, some guests note that the interior can get quite busy during peak hours, making it a challenge for a quiet, intimate meal. The cafe is popular for a reason, but sometimes finding a table can be tricky, especially on sunny days when outdoor seating fills up quickly.
Others commented on the steps leading to the cafe, highlighting accessibility issues. While wheelchair access is available, patrons leaving through the main garden entrance should anticipate some minor slopes.
Though most dishes received positive feedback, a few occasional mentions of longer wait times for food during busy service periods may discourage impatience.
It's one of those cafe/restaurant places you love to eat and drink at, outside seating has beautiful views out to sea, with Felixstowe seafront gardens just a few places away, inside the restaurant area there's more tables, to choose if the weather is a little off on your visit. The staff are charming and welcoming, service is excellent. Menu is quite a lot to choose from, and always well cooked/presented, breakfast here is about the best available in Felixstowe, the fish also Hugh quality. If coming via the gardens be mindful there's steps, although there's an easier way in via the road, it's on a slope but nothing too major to cope with. I shall be visiting here for a longtime into the future. I hope you visit and enjoy as much as I do.
Great food with quality ingredients. Cooked breakfast excellent, also fruit scone, jam and cream and flapjack. Coffee great. We were able to eat outside with a wonderful view but inside was also inviting and very busy. (Always a god sign) Smiling and accommodating service. We have eaten in several places on the front in Felixstowe but The Cliff Top beats them all hands down. Keep it up guys.
It's always very welcoming after a walk on the beach. Lovely teas and coffees to enjoy with the delicious cakes on display. If something more substantial is required the lunch menu offers some great choices, the fish and chips are particularly tasty as are the breakfasts. There's an impressive selection of art for sale on the walls and well behaved dogs are always welcome.
Casual place with good sea views. Food is freshly prepared and reasonably priced. We only had sandwiches but they came with a substantial side salad.
Lovely cafe with great views. The staff are really friendly and the scrambled eggs are superb!
Excellent food and service, reasonable prices. Lovely position looking out across the sea, outside seating.
Great food, generous portion size. First class customer service. Will return again, hopefully when it's not raining.
